"Ultimate Frisbee is amazing! So let's play tomorrow. At 2. Location tbd. Let me know if you can come. Invite other people...Let me know if your friends are coming. Make it awesome. Thanks."Now, I love a good game of ultimate, so I was pretty darn excited. You can imagine my immense disappointment when I was rudely awakened at 5:30am by one of the loudest claps of thunder I've ever heard accompanied by a good old fashioned Houston monsoon. It POURED all morning, leaving Texas sized puddles in it's wake.
My little brother remained undaunted. "Sure it's a giant mud puddle out there, and someone will probably end up tearing an acl or something....BUT IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT!" ---and it was. A brave ---or crazy. Probably just crazy, but we'll go with brave for the moment--- few showed up at the appointed time to play the game we love so much and we slid and slipped our way through one epic game of ultimate. We left tired and considerably soggier, but really no worse for the wear.
